Future Shock

The Black Peacock Marco, an Italian engineer comes from Milan to Santo Domingo, Haiti to continue the construction of a dam. The predecessor, Kluger, has disappeared without a trace and he would take his place. When he arrives, his wife Laura is there waiting for him and the two - along with their guide Romero. They go to the small, isolated jungle shack where Kluger was staying before he vanished. The couple is soon involved in mysterious voodoo rituals carried out by the Haitian religious leader, Balaga who is against the work. Meanwhile, the ghost of Kluger warns him about completing the work. Only thanks to the intervention of the police Laura, fascinated by the rites, is saved and brought back to Italy

Freelancer Piotr is a freelancing journalist in early 1980's Poland. One day, he comes across a curious case of a woman's death during work and the workplace's refusal to pay the insurance to her mother.

Without Love Ewa is a reporter. Using her feminine charms and other means she is trying to become a journalist on a Warsaw weekly popular magazine. She hopes to become political interviewer of personalities and state leaders. On her way up the ladder she trips over one of her own shoestrings and falls short of the goal she has been pursuing so fanatically.

Index The story begins in March of 1968, the days of students protests. A hot- headed student protests the Dean's decision to expell a fellow student on fake accusation charges, upon which he drops out of university rather than make a compromise. He loses everything in the process: his girlfriend, housing privileges - he becomes a coal deliverer. On the job he witnesses an accident that causes death of a fellow worker. He decides to write a story, which is good and a publishing house wants to print it, but only after some corrections are made. He refuses again and the story is not printed. Finally, a story is commercialized and made into a succesful film and brings fame to the original author.

Clinch A young factory worker takes up on boxing as a way to find himself and advance his chances for the future. But the difficulties of sorting himself out in the crooked boxing environment hold him back in the beginning, until he arrives for tournament in Chicago, where he can prove himself. In the end, he wins over his Yank opponent, an amateur below his ranking, and is back in the factory.

Feast of the Vampires A young man is searching for his missing friend in a Southern farming town with a vampire curse over it. He ends up trapped on a plantation and must outwit Duke Wolfgang Moonlight, a black vampire, in order to save a beautiful farmer's daughter with whom the he has fallen in love.
