Close-up photos of used consumer junk and animated doodles slowly pan across the screen as a pitched-down male voice attempts to confront his own mind: is he crazy or has society made him crazy? The only way out seems to be some kind of daily Sisyphean ritual of sorting through his damaged mind, and then trying to go the gym. But, the junk just keeps piling up. Who is to blame for this mess inside your mind? You don't actually have a problem, society is the problem.

Incontro con Silvano
L’Isola del Cinema Festival visited Silvano Agosti in his historic hall in the Prati district of Rome. The meeting with the author, director, poet and philosopher, famous in the artistic world for his stubborn independence, with the young writer Stefano Scanu, gave rise to a long conversation about cinema, about life, about our future, about some of his films chosen as a tribute to the festival. This short film acquires a further value due to the sad coincidence of the definitive closure of the Azzurro Scipioni theatre a few days later, a mourning for all passionate and romantic Romans.

Battered
Lee Grant's acclaimed 1989 investigation of domestic violence in American Homes. Battered is the powerful, if harrowing portrait of a life lived in constant fear of the people closest to you. Intimate interviews with the victims and children of the cycle are combined with the eye opening and heart breaking stories of the abusers themselves to take you deeper into every facet of these American lives.
La Vita Olistica
Gaining ideology from their last album Disco Volodar, the short film uses the core theme of space. The short film is filmed at Unit 3 Regents Trading Estate, the usual area for Sounds From The Other City. Using the philosophy of avante garde pioneer Maya Deren ‘one must at least begin with the body feeling’, the films opening is of the four piece standing atop of the hill in the Pendle countryside. This quickly melts into a warped reality and lands you into the POV of a camera and trapped in a liminal space where you see a band in session.
