Christos and Maria, a couple living in poverty, hope for a better future. However, their love will be tested by the harsh reality and poverty that plagues them. When Christos loses his job, he abandons Maria for a wealthy woman. His life is filled with riches and comforts, but he soon realizes that his happiness lies with Maria. He searches for her and finds her at the home of Lola, a prostitute who has taken the unfortunate girl in. Their plans to claim their happiness are overturned once and for all when Lola's protectors rape Maria, who dies shortly afterwards in hospital. Christos takes his own life and Lola kills the man responsible for the girl's death.

Young Nikos leaves Athens for Thessaloniki, where he hopes to become a successful singer. However, he leaves behind his beloved Mary and in Thessaloniki he meets another woman, whom he marries. Mary makes an unsuccessful attempt at suicide. Nikos' wife loses her life in a car accident, and life brings the couple back together again.

Toni, the former theology student from former Yugoslavia, lives in Germany now, he loves the Dutch and Amsterdam and he is a big fan of the mayor of Venice, "because he likes Nitsche." He is not gay but he supports homosexuals "because Wittgenstein was gay." Toni is waiting for a German passport in order to leave Germany and find work in Amsterdam.

It is a short film highlighting some of the challenges families and primary carers encounter when providing support to people with dementia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eric, who has early-onset dementia, arrives home from hospital after overcoming COVID-19 to discover his partner is still in hospital, uncertain of his future. Due to the lockdown restrictions, Eric is unable to visit his partner and relies on Benny, his carer to help him through his confusion.
