Brave Step Brave Step is the first collaborative project by The Halluci Nation, formerly A Tribe Called Red. Founded in 2008 by DeeJay Frame, DeeJay NDN and Bear Witness, The Halluci Nation showcases Aboriginal DJ talent and Native urban culture. Aside from DJing the collective also produces their own music and remixes, fusing Electronica and Traditional. As part of their event, The Electric Pow wow, they produce a visual performance, which is projected live on stage that remixes images of Aboriginal people from popular culture.

Woodcarver This project was made in response to the murder of John T. Williams by a Seattle police officer.

Beyond the Wasteland Shot in Australia, USA, Italy, France, Germany, and Japan, Beyond the Wasteland follows the fans from around the world who go to extraordinary lengths in the name of Mad Max. Transporting us into the world of Mad Max, we explore the eccentric world of the fans, their costumes, and their machines as these oddball fans find their place amongst the Mad Max community. The documentary also follows original cast member, Bertrand Cadart as he continues his fight against stage IV leukemia and travels from his home on the Sunshine Coast to the “Wasteland,” the desert location of Mad Max 2 in Silverton, for the last time. Beyond the Wasteland not only celebrates life but the ability to change oneself through passion.

Canon This video is a piece of pure visual music: a synchronous visual and musical canon. Each musical phrase corresponds to a visual movement: in this case, a filling of the visual plane with a color. The color fields are flat, corresponding to an unadorned melody, and the animated transitions give a visual form to the musical form. The animation is offset in time and composited atop itself to create a visual analog to a musical canon. Each visual layer fills the plane just as each musical tone of each voice is heard. Harmony of counterpoint is achieved visually with these overlapping layers.

Recurrents I started to explore fractals and the Mandelbrot set soon after I read about them in A.K. Dewdney's article in the August, 1985 issue of Scientific American. The concept of infinite recursion is still fascinating to me: The deeper you look, the more complicated the forms become. Philip Brazer approached me with music that he thought would work with my animated sequences. His music sets these fractals in a haunting, floating stasis that I never want to leave.
