Dear Future Self,
"Dear Future Self," is based off a letter I wrote to myself back when I was 13 years old. The film highlights the struggles and confusions about growing up. It captures the essence of childhood nostalgia and walks the audience down to memory lane.

Leibnitz' Skull
The exhibition „Mengele's Skull“ is structured around a specially commissioned book of the same title co-authored by Thomas Keenan and Eyal Weizman. Next to major new works by Hito Steyerl, this exhibition presents documentary and source materials.

Accidental Luxuriance of...
Martin tried to fight the system, and now he's on the run. Sara is a conceptual artist. Together they join the revolutionary commune in the countryside. The police are on their trail. Inspector Ambroz knows the right questions are more important than the answers. Because maybe none of this is true.
The Kiss
Using video, sculpture and archival material, the work gives form to a dramatic event that took place in 1993 during the war in Bosnia, when a paramilitary unit abducted 20 people from a train. Hito Steyerl has made her mark on the international art scene as one of the sharpest observers and innovators in the documentary genre. In her critical perspective on documentary, the only objective truth appears to be the lack of information. On this basis, Steyerl examines the role played by the image production process – of which she is herself a part – and technological tools as witnesses to the truth when we write our common history.
Lady O'Loughlin
A documentary about a recovering alcoholic and addict – especially one whose story we're already broadly familiar with – doesn't sound like a great night's entertainment. But this compact and moving film made by Fiona O'Loughlin's mate, Sam Petersen, is not just thoughtful, it's also often very funny. Petersen follows O'Loughlin from the time she leaves rehab in 2016 (she spent seven days in a coma following an epic binge) to her return to the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2018 – including a relapse that put her back in hospital again. As you might expect, many gags are cracked. Truths are told. But this is also an exploration of the way the live-comedy scene is a natural home to excess, and the dangers of the misguided but entrenched association between creativity, and drugs and alcohol.
