Pharmacopee
Pharmacopee: the art of mixing mediacation. A mediapsychic construction that mainly brings together historical archives that have undergone alterations of a musical or verbal origin, as well as oneiric experiences. This imaginary memory lies on the edge of wakefulness. It is a constant reminder of the conscious dream, the kind that one interprets early in the morning and that cannot be explained with words.

It takes two so that a voyage is more than just transportation.
It takes two so that photography becomes cinema.
It takes two wings to fly.
But if the camera frowns, what remains of the fever of exoticism ?

Bal
This piece is based on several works by Fernand Léger, particularly a painting from 1920 entitled Les disques de la ville, and his epxerimental film Ballet Mécanique (1924). So in this work I first goth through a phase of sampling ; the collected pictures are then reworked by means of new media. I was looking for a paradoxal picture, regarding its temporal situation. Léger's film 20s grain is still visible, though interferring with frame effects which can be clues about numerical video tools. This can evoke bad encoding, "low-fi" pictures that we get used to by watching video hosting websites such as YouTube or DailyMotion. There we get some kind of uchronia, like time collapsing on itself. Some kind of spontaneous meeting of Léger's Modernism with psychedelism, YouTube and pirate TVs. The soundtrack is made of trains and stations recordings — trains being so dear to the Futurists — and popular songs from the 20s.
It's a done deal
This is a tribute to my hometown : Le Creusot and its industrial landscape. It's a Super-8 one-shot movie of Le Creusot's industrial estate. This place is now in decline though having been the main workplace in town for a long time. Since the latest economical up-and-downs, this place has now turned into some kind of no-man's-land. The spirit of past workers, who helped rising the metallurgic industries, is haunting the soundtrack.
