Abyssus Abyssum Invocat Abyssus Abyssum Invocat is a short film that utilizes stop-motion animation and live-action puppetry to create a darkly comic meditation on capital punishment and religion. The surreal and macabre world of Abyssus Abyssum Invocat is inspired by the animation from masters of the stop-motion craft such as Jan Svankmajer and The Brothers Quay. The film's title is interpreted to mean 'Hell invokes Hell.'
