Blinded by the Light In 1987, during the austere days of Thatcher’s Britain, a teenager learns to live life, understand his family, and find his own voice through the music of Bruce Springsteen.

Chameleon After fatally shooting a stalker, Parisian bar-maid Lea must live the life of the title reptile. At the time of the killing she was living with Francis, a much older American ex-con. After committing the murder, the fleeing and frightened Lea is saved by Paris paper boys Jean and Luc. Later she tells her sad story to hard-drinking Moskowitz, a middle-aged cop who secretly desires her. His unrequited love leads to tragedy. Meanwhile, Lea continues living with Francis, but also shacks up with Luc while trying to avoid the jealous cop.

FRAGMENTS Tokyo murder c... A film unique of it's contrast, capturing a day of an ordinary college girl, eventually overwhelmed by the flooding sound of noise . The noise continues to over flood the peaceful mid day in Ikebukuro public park, until it is shut down by an arrival of a sudden unexpected death. The sound continues to resonate within each and everyone who was at the spot, even after the noise had died out.

This Wonderful, Wonderfu... After the country transitions to a market economy, the psychiatric hospital is left without funding. The chief doctor (Yaşar Nuri) releases the patients to their homes. However, the outside world turns out to be even more insane than the patients themselves. Seeing the state of society, the patients are forced to return to the hospital. Although this film portrays the lives of people with mental illnesses, it actually uses dark humor to highlight the ugliness and shortcomings in our society and everyday surroundings.

Let's Hope It Lasts Joseph and Victor are two motorcyclists of the national police force and inseparable friends. If the first leads a tidy life with wife and child, the second, single, is always in search of a soul mate - And one day he finds her.

Roadside Picnic "Roadside Picnic" is a piece produced by Hiroyuki Nagashima and Shigeru Matsui, pursuing the possibilities of “a new form of story telling, by the usage of digital sound technology” (financed by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science :JSPS24652030) . At first, this was planned simply as a sound installation, but visuals made by director/film maker Naoki Kato was joined in, eventually bringing to completion as a full film piece.
