'Igła" (The needle) is a former prisoner who seen the Blessed Virgin. He survived the conversion and wants to save people. In his quest to Warsaw meets the following characters: Martin - shy businessman and a victim of bullying, Lucy - working in a sex shop dreamer, Filip - a teenager who wants to get out of his native village, Jurek - embittered alcoholic who lost their lives and Monica - corporate single girl. Each of them is lonely, alienated - and each is at the threshold of a kind of awakening.

During 260 km of walk, the Pilgrims spread the word of their experiences abroad and try to reconnect with their families, estranged through the years of migration. They fight the guilt and the sense of blame for migration, and, against the evermore crumbling trust in the Ukrainian state, attempt to organize through the only existing for them institution, the Church. Τhe film speaks of the controversial rise of the Church institution in a post-soviet state, as a force preoccupied not only with the spiritual, but also with the social and the political.
Water Mining (Eaton Cany...
Water Mining (Eaton Cany... Water Mining (Eaton Canyon) is a nature film made with a stream, rather than about it. Its images come from a combination of cyanotype, a blue-and-white photographic process dating back to the 1840s, and actual plant material adhered to physical film. I hand-coated clear 16mm leader with cyanotype chemicals, then used sunlight to make photogram-style, cameraless exposures of plant matter I had gathered in and around the stream in Eaton Canyon. Cyanotypes are processed using water, and for this film, I used stream water that I had also collected from the canyon. I approached the film as though the stream, what was in it, its surroundings, the film, the chemicals, and I were all extensions of one another.
