Cuckoo's Dolls Keun-Ok, a barmaid, has been brought up in an orphanage after losing her parents in her early childhood. One day, Cho Yong-Jin, the teacher in charge of the bar owner's son, visits the bar to see his pupil. Seeing him Keun-Ok feels love for him and begins to seek his attention. He doesn't dislike her but keeps away from her for several reasons. In the long run, he quits the school and makes every effort to change her life for better one. In the meantime, he finds her working in a hotel as a cleaner. Yong-Jun hugs her tight and decides to marry her.

The Simple Song When The Commercial Album was released in 1980, Phonogram and Celluloid Records financed the production of four One Minute Movies with which to promote the album in Europe. The Residents hired their long-time collaborator Graeme Whifler to direct short clips for “Moisture” and “The Simple Song”, and directed another two themselves, “The Act of Being Polite” and “Perfect Love”.

That Cloud Never Left In a not-so-faraway village, people use discarded reels of 35-mm film to make loud toys such as rattlers, whistles and whirligigs. Every day several hundred toys are crafted, and for each of these hundred toys they splice, slit and rip filmstrips. As they follow this routine with uninterrupted monotony, a few narratives leak out from the shredded analogues of film and infuse the place with phantasmagoria.

Egg A naked woman is found murdered in the Mongolian steppe. Overnight, a young and inexperienced policeman has to secure the crime scene. Since he is not familiar with the dangers on site, a local herder is sent to guard him and the body. This resolute woman in her mid-thirties knows how to handle a rifle – and how to scare away wolves. She lights a fire against the cold. Alcohol also helps them to stay warm. At her instigation, the two get closer to each other. The next morning, they will go their separate ways.

The Mirrors Kamran Shirdel's 1964 diploma film at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Rome unfolds in an urban apartment with a despondent man, who appears to be an artist or a writer, contemplating his existence through mirrors set about the room. Featuring the music of Anton Webern's Six Pieces for Orchestra Opus 6, the film has no dialogue. Gli Specchi, also known as The Mirrors, was made in the same period that saw Shirdel working as an assistant director for John Huston on The Bible and it went on to win the diploma of honor in the World Cinema School Film Festival in Tokyo in 1965.
