ART PARADE is a meditation on staring and display, and on the ambiguous energies that emanate from both. Much of the film is dominated by the stunning presence of Kembra Pfahler (leader and co-founder of rock-performance troupe The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black) escorted by a chorus of her Karen Black Girls.

Bahar A singer and dancer par excellence, Lata lives a wealthy lifestyle with her dad, Choudhry Goverdhanlal Patwardhanlal and mom. Her parents would like her to get married to wealthy Shekhar, who she initially approves of. Shortly thereafter she meets with Vasant Kumar and both fall in love with each other. When Shekhar finds out that Lata does not want to marry him, he is enraged and starts to investigate Vasant's background. He finds out that Vasant's real name is Ashok, who is a writer for a magazine 'Bahar, has a relationship with a woman, and also has a son.

Apradhi Satyaprakash is an honest security officer who works at the docks in a small town in India, and lives with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vishambernath; wife, Janki, a blind daughter, Munni; and an unmarried sister, Juhi. He hopes to make enough money to get Munni's vision back and ensure that Juhi gets married and the rest of the family are looked after well. Before that could happen, he is killed. When the Police come to his house looking for his killer, Janki, unknowingly shields the killer, but when she finds out the truth, she tells them about his location, but the killer flees.

Agnichakra
Agnichakra Amar lives a middle-class life with his Police Inspector brother, Suryaveer, and sister-in-law, Beena. Suryaveer is assigned to handle the task of apprehending a group of terrorists, headed by Jumbo, who have made their hideout in a dense forest in Central India. Suryaveer's partner is Inspector Satpal, who is an alcoholic. Suryaveer is also told that six other police inspectors have lost their lives in this assignment. Nevertheless, Suryaveer and Satpal get ready to tackle this task and do penetrate deep into the forests. Then Beena gets the devastating news that Satpal has been injured and her husband has been killed. The police assign this matter to another Police Inspector by the name of Vikas, and Amar and Satpal lend a hand to support him.

Aandhiyan Shakuntala (Mumtaz) is an estranged wife from Dushyant (Shatrughan Sinha) who wanted refused to admit that she is his wife because his political career would be hindered. His father (Om Shivpuri) never approved her because of her poverty and therefore decided to split them apart by blaming Dushyant for marrying her and because of that it would hinder his career.
