The TARDIS materialises in Paris in the year 1572 and the Doctor decides to visit the famous apothecary Charles Preslin. Steven, meanwhile, is befriended by a group of Huguenots from the household of the Protestant Admiral de Coligny. Having rescued a young serving girl, Anne Chaplet, from some pursuing guards, the Huguenots gain their first inkling of a heinous plan being hatched at the command of the Catholic Queen Mother, Catherine de Medici.

Connection This documentary film is made without words, music, and usually even without human presence. At the beginning, we see in detail a small wolf cub that some people found abandoned in a forest and are now taking to a rescue station by car. Then pure observational methods are used to develop the light-hearted story of two such wolves during their forced stay in captivity until such time that they are returned to the wild. The structure of the film is based only on the changing times of day and yearly seasons. Everything else is open to the viewer’s interpretation of animal behavior, chiefly during the wolves’ interaction with other representatives of their own species and in both familiar and unknown surroundings.

It represents an experimental space where safe boundaries are abandoned and a gateway is opened to a frighteningly unrestrained universe where established patterns of behavior do not apply. It is a chance to free oneself from inner demons and be renewed within. To find ourselves, we must first lose ourselves.

Sara Shazli observes city bustle outside the windows and domestic life through the camera lens in her own perspective, treating familiar situations with both tragic and comic distance. Being locked down with her parents helps her in rediscovering family ties and her relationship to home.

The possibility of emigration to America is a hope, but it is gradually receding due to the worsening political situation. The camera captures even the most intimate moments and puts the viewer in the position of a voyeur observing the exposed bodies and souls.
