On This Side of the Eart... A story about the life of an ordinary Ukrainian village, with its sorrows and joys. The story is about the simple life of rural people who think little about the past and the future, but live in the present-here and now, doing specific everyday things, slowly adapting to the changes coming from the outside world.

The Lost Country The film tells the story of events related to the migration policy of Angela Merkel - events taking place in Germany since 2015. For a year and a half, the director of the film took part in all the demonstrations against Merkel's policies. From the author: "I have lived in Germany for 14 years, and all this time it seemed to me that I lived in one of the most democratic countries in the world. But since September 2015, exactly from the moment when our dear Frau Merkel opened the borders and announced that Germany is ready to accept refugees from Syria, I realized that this is not the case. One of the safest countries in the world is gradually turning into the territory of madness... And there can be no other way where citizens have been taught for decades to live with a sense of guilt for the crimes of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. So Germany is now destroying itself. To please people with an alien culture who will never become part of German society."

They lost their citizenship and were left without documents... This is the convergence of people, torn apart by society, who builded a home on their own. A home without walls, roof nor windows: the streets. And with a common friend, Volodia. Sailor, actor, eternal student, trade unionist but above all things he is a nonconformist whose mission is to help others. During 7 years of shooting this documentary he introduced us to his Kafkaesque reality. Between sarcasm and hope, always smiling, always dignified, with the unreachable goal to return to the sea, Volodia begins a new life every day.

Five Lives Viktor Valerevich Mumikhotkak also known as „Mukha“, Yupik Eskimo from the hamlet New Chaplino (Chukotka, Russia), died tragically in 2012. Somebody stabbed him in his abdomen and cut off his fingers. In 2014, when young Alla Ukuma gave birth to her first son, her mother told her: „Last night I saw Mukha in my dream. He had come back in your boy. Let us name your baby Viktor.“ According to the local people, the dead can return to the realm of the living up to five times. This film essay on life, death and possible return poses the universal question: how do you confront your own end?
