Bako, the Other Shore Fode, Boubacar's father, decides to send his son to Paris to join his older brother Samba. There, for sure, he will become rich and able to send them money. Boubacar leaves the village and his fiancée Awa. The long journey begins.

Denko An African mother will do just about anything to protect her child. Bilaly is a simple peasant who is blind. He wants to “know” a woman before he dies, but try as his mother might, she cannot find someone to oblige. She finally gets an idea – an idea that completely stuns the village.

The Land Is White, the S... Filmmaker Koto Bolofo accompanies his father, a history teacher and 30-year refugee from apartheid, on a journey back to South Africa. He had been a critic of the racist Bantu education system and the brutal disciplinary methods of his school’s Afrikaner principal. The film juxtaposes Professor Bolofo’s flight to asylum with vibrant scenes from the daily life of his village. This is not a documentary of explanation— of politics, of sociology— but an outpouring of images of the people given life by an artist and photographer.

Home Away from Home To ease her homesickness Miriam recreates an aspect of home in her suburban British garden. Cultural memory exerts a healing power, combatting cultural appropriation, hostility towards migrants and the rift between Miriam and her Nigerian-British children.
