Song of the Flies The experimental animated film Song of the Flies (El Canto de las Moscas), translates the desolation caused by the violence of the Colombian armed conflict through the poetic voice of Maria Mercedes Carranza (1945–2003) and the audiovisual dialogue between 9 Colombian women. In 24 places, as a transit over the course of a day (Morning, Day, Night) a map of terror is drawn where massacres took place in Colombia in the 1990s. Archival images, the artists’ personal memories and the use of loops and analogue materials bring to life the landscapes ravaged by violence and build a polyphony of memory and mourning, a universal song of pain.

Paris Chausey You can, in fact, trace my life through my films. The first one was called Paris Chausey -- a love story about an island. I was desperate to find a place where I could breathe, and at the time I was completely under Godard’s influence -- I needed to break free from it. And to escape an influence, it’s important to take it as far as your admiration goes: it’s wonderful to admire a writer or a filmmaker, to watch all their films, to fall asleep with their book, but in the end, it suffocates you. My first film was my way of breaking out of the Nouvelle Vague that had shaped my childhood, when I spent all my nights and days at the Cinémathèque.

The Nutcracker - The Nat... Hailed -the best Nutcracker on the planet- by The Globe and Mail, The National Ballet of Canada’s acclaimed production, choreographed by James Kudelka, features 233 performers – 50 dancers, 98 children from Canada’s National Ballet School and high schools all over Toronto, 65 musicians and 20 young singers from VIVA! Youth Singers of Toronto who join The National Ballet of Canada Orchestra for the famous snow scene. The streamed performance of The Nutcracker was captured live at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in 2008 and features Principal Dancers Sonia Rodriguez and Piotr Stanczyk as The Sugar Plum Fairy and Peter/The Nutcracker. Christmas Spectacular St... The show features over 140 performers, lavish sets and costumes and an original musical score. The 90 minute revue combines singing, dancing and humor with traditional scenes in spectacular stage settings. The star performers are the women's precision dance troupe known as the Rockettes.
