Obaida OBAIDA, a short film by Matthew Cassel, explores a Palestinian child’s experience of Israeli military arrest. Each year, some 700 Palestinian children undergo military detention in a system where ill-treatment is widespread and institutionalized. For these young detainees, few rights are guaranteed, even on paper. After release, the experience of detention continues to shape and mark former child prisoners’ path forward.

Yet The Sea Is Not Full The animated triptych shows a sophisticated satirical look at the Zionist settlement in the Land of Israel. The seasons, agricultural work, kibbutznik dances and much more move endlessly in a circle in it, combining Jewish proverbs and images from the history of art, reminiscent, in particular, of the paintings of Brueghel and Bosch.

the gleaners, and: ritua... A ritual for creating new worlds and situations for fragmented bodies, signals pass through the joints of animated and genderless bodies and body parts entangling the body-signal-actions both materially and conceptually as these control mechanisms interfere with pre-animated content. Perpetually shifting surfaces and skins serve as sites of projection and interference, contributing to the further "queering" of the state of these bodies and fragments that are stretched and submerged into and outside of the environment they inhabit, as they encounter desire, distress, and ritualized oscillations. Signals generate both sounds and compel movement, the making of the images, and the body further challenges the stability and integrity of the space in its otherworldliness and the spatial relationships it establishes with the audience. At the edge between crisis and satisfaction, the work adopts the role of Millet's own "gleaners," making-do on the boundary between sustenance and the devoid.

Three Jumps to Happiness A black comedy describing one evening of the lives of several animals. A couple of turtles, a bear and a pesonal monkey trainer want to find their will to consciously manage your life. The story takes the Aesopian tradition of narration by means of an animal fairy tale on the level of contemporary existential problems and attempts at understanding between the characters.

I do it for the Sparrow ... The Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh has a living tradition of the age-old water distribution system regionally called 'kuhls'. The custodians of the kuhls, or water-channels are the 'kohlis'. This film follows contemporary kohlis and their struggles in keeping the system alive.

The Last Time I Ever Saw... Lucas, a 13 years old teen, comes back from summer camp sad because of his failure to confess his love. He consoles himself in his daydreams where he relives his memories and fantasizes them. But to be able to move on he has to confront this failure and accept it.
