Jogos entre assassinos e...

Sanday Shot on Sanday, one of the Orkney islands, the film is in four sections, each representing (and transforming) the filmmaker's actions in and experience of a place at a particular time. Drawing on the qualities of these places and the long history of human habitation of the landscape (evidence for which goes back to 3500 BC), Nick Collins' intention was to make possible the experience of a series of linked mental/emotional states, seen through a landscape and movement within it.

Self-Portrait A short, silent, oblique self-portrait from 1983. Filmed on 16mm Kodachrome 40 and some black-and-white stock (the superimpositions were made in-camera) and reworked on the optical printer at the LFMC.

Looking In and Out (A Wi... "A short 16mm black-and-white sound film, from 1986. Closer to being a psychodrama than any of my other films, it centres on images are projected onto and refilmed from a misted-up window."

Cornish Winter Reeds and... A short black-and-white silent film, shot in Cornwall in 1980, but not finished as a print until around 1989. Edited to a more-or-less strict mathematical rhythm in terms of numbers of frames within a shot (with some aberrations) , the film has a skeletal narrative running through it.

Children's Village Zou Xueping continues to interview old people in her village, this time with the help of local children. They start collecting names and money to erect a memorial for the victims of the famine.

Attacking Zhanggao Villa... A documentary following the filmmaker, Wang Hai'an, who went back to his hometown of Zhanggao Cun, a rural village in Shandong Province. He interviewed the elders in his village who lived through the Great Famine during 1959- 1961. His main purpose was to gather the names of those who suffered and died during the famine and to ask the village to donate money for erecting a monument in their name, but the idea was rejected by the villagers

Shuangjing Village, I'm ... A documentary following the filmmaker, Shu Qiao, who went back to his hometown of Shuangjing, a rural village in Hunan Province. He interviewed the elders in his village who lived through the Great Famine during 1959-1961. His main purpose was to gather the names of those who suffered and died during the famine and to ask the village to donate money for erecting a monument in their name
