Semangat Ular Zaiton comes under the influence of the spell cast by a snake spirit. With her body under possession, she incapacitates her father and is lured to a hypnotised rendezvous with the snake spirit in his harem pit. The spirit takes on an anthropomorphised form and charms Zaiton, convincing her that her fiancée Rahim is a philanderer. Rahim and Zaiton’s father turn to a wise shaman to rescue Zaiton.

Norma Dame Joan Sutherland considered Norma, the lead character of Bellini’s bel canto melodrama, one of her favourite roles. She performed the brilliant and challenging score for Australian audiences for the first time in this 1978 production at the Sydney Opera House, reuniting with her regular collaborator Margreta Elkins, who plays Adalgisa, as well as Ronald Stevens and Clifford Grant. Set in Ancient Gaul, the opera tells the story of a clash between the Druids and the occupying Romans. In the middle of it all is Norma, the high priestess caught in a dangerous love triangle. This luscious production is directed by Italian director Sandro Sequi and conducted by Richard Bonynge.

Win, Place or Steal Three friends have two things in common: (1) they like to bet on the horses at the track, and (2) they invariably lose. One day they hit upon a scheme to steal one of the track's betting machines, so that they'd be able to print winning tickets and recoup the money they've lost over the years. However, things don't go exactly as planned.
