Libido Lagoon This turgid potboiler was made with my class at the San Francisco Art Institute. It steam-rolls a series of overheated episodes to a colorful climax of redemption and moral rectitude. The rest of it wallows in a swamp of spiritual rot and loose codes of clothing and domestic decency. The cast is fresh-faced and eager to be involved in this low budget drama of even lower community standards and production values. The plot involves the corruption of a Christian community by the vapors that emanate from those baptized in Libido Lagoon: a drainage pond for everything vile and vitalizing (below the belt). Join the festivities if you dare, but don't say we didn't seduce you, since the flesh is weak and needs a dip into depravity now and then. Why not try the dark waters of Libido Lagoon for that secret jolt of rejuvenation and revulsion?

Rishyasringan Rishyasringan is a 1997 Indian Malayalam film directed by Suresh Unnithan and starring Bhanupriya and Krishna in the lead roles, Arun falls in love with Poornima, his dance teacher who is much elder to him, creating tension among the family members.

We Promised We Promised is the true and touching story of Mae, an elderly woman suffering from Dementia. Her daughters Jamie and Alisa team with Cathy (a hired caregiver) to honor Mae's one desire, to stay in her own home until the very end.

Biological Cycle No. 3 The series, based on the first 16mm film that was shot in a studio with Nakajima’s family and birds, moves through media and processing transformations over many iterations over the years. Once transferred to video, digital effects were added using the “Animaker,” an electronic image synthesizer that he invented (also nicknamed “Ko-puter”). Total of 6 parts exist.

Jewel of Jeopardy Linda Martinez stars in this sequel to the horror series, which relishes in colorful detail the misadventures of Sherry Frankenstein. Made with my students at the San Francisco Art Institute, the viewer is plunged into a world of young and old as they tackle the monsters within and without. Chock full of entergetic scenes filled with all the opulence that only $600 could purchase, this epic of good gone bad will stun you with its massive verbosity and visual voracity. The plot deals with Ms. Frankenstein's mission to save the body and souls of strumpets in heat. She leads them to a house for wayward women, which has been erected to the memory of her departed husband (who was a fallen man of the cloth). Unfortunately, the house belongs to Dracula.

Grotto of the Gorgons An electronic variety show featuring poetry, theatrics, dance, songs, and a plot concerning the cultivation of literary innocence and the preservation of Rondo Hatton's memory (a horror actor in 1940s B movies). A dense work made even denser by staged incompetence. Made with my students at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Hampstead Theatre At Hom... The Midlands, 1984. Two young lads are about to learn what it is to be a miner, to be accepted into the close camaraderie and initiated into a unique workplace where sweat, toil, collapsing roofs and explosions are all to be met with bawdy humour. London, 1984. A conflicted Tory MP, a brash American CEO and an eccentric maverick are the face of a radical Conservative government preparing to do battle with the most powerful workforce, the miners. As the two sides clash, the miners fight for their livelihoods and families, and the government for its vision of a free Britain. Together they change the fabric of the nation forever.

Hold HOLD is a tense, spare, and lean drama about a young couple's relationship in the aftermath of a violent home invasion. Boasting no musical score and filmed in claustrophobic closeups, it investigates the frailty of the hero complex by putting a microscope on American paranoia.
