Within The film unfolds in Geneva, in the district around the Vernets barracks. It delves into the spaces of life and the encounters with its inhabitants. These domestic chronicles evolve between the military barracks at the edge of the blocks of flats and the insane asylum which had occupied the space in the past. Through these chronicles and the history of the place, the question arises for each spectator: what, then, is my place within?

Travel Sketch A frustrated jet-setter who can't travel discovers video superimposition. Through the magic of video technology, he is relegated to a box at the bottom of the screen as other people's pictures of faraway lands are shown. The protagonist reflects his generation's acceptance of today's diminished expectations. He is left to film his seemingly blank space coupled with his amusing narrative as others explore the world.

Dreaming an Island What would happen if everything stopped? If the engine gears of the economy jammed for good? The Japanese island of Ikeshima is a place that seems to be ahead of its time, showing us a possible future. The few remaining inhabitants live in a surreal setting, clinging firmly to a normality that seems however to escape them. A dreamlike journey, which forces us to think about our relationship with the planet but also about social isolation and loneliness.

3:14PM An 11-year-old boy Yi lives with his mother in a static world where time perpetually stops at 3:14 p.m. They move frequently to escape from the bad guys. Yi has a crush on a static girl in his temporary residence and often visits her after his mother falls asleep. He wishes time starts moving again so the girl will play with him. As his mother finds out about his secret, they got into a big quarrel. All of a sudden, Dr. Cheng and his gang find them through the noise. During the standoff, Yi realizes he stopped time when the world was about to be destroyed. Dr. Cheng attempts to kill Yi to keep time static. Yi’s mother sacrifices herself to save him. Yi faces a conundrum. Shall he live alone in this static world, or shall he activate time and embark on an unknown journey?
