The Fishing Trip
In this moving drama, three young Canadian women embark upon a journey to face and lay to rest their painful pasts. Though Kirsti (Jhene Erwin) is twenty-one and living independently as a college student, she remains haunted by horrible memories of being raped by her stepfather Harold (Jim Kinney). He also performed this vile act on her little sister Jessie (Melissa Hood). Unable to bear the psychological anguish, Kirsti decides to confront her abuser and so visits her mother (Diana Tabak) only to find that Harold and his son Jacob (T.J. Grist) are at their fishing cabin up north, the very place where the attacks first occurred.
The Falling
Karis (Nicole Oliver) is a clothing store owner who picks up a handsome music executive, Lars (Christopher Shyer), in a bar and immediately engages him in some very hot sex that leads to an ongoing physical relationship. One morning Lars encounters Morgan (Rob Lee) in Karis' kitchen; Morgan is her future ex-husband and a policeman with a violent temper who begins a campaign of intimidation to make Lars stop seeing Karis. But wait: 30 minutes into the movie the point-of-view changes to Morgan's, and we see he's not such a bad guy after all and that Lars is the hot-tempered villain. But wait: 30 minutes later the point of view switches to Karis, and it turns out that she hasn't been completely honest about things. Whose story is the real one?
Clutch
A man learns an unexpected lesson about the power of the written work in this dark independent comedy from Canada. Martyn (David Hewlett) is a young man who seems to be devoting his life to going to college; he's persuaded into stealing a rare and valuable book, but the burglary goes awry and Martyn is forced to kill a book dealer when he tries to hold on to the previous volume. Martyn now has to make a getaway, get rid of the body, and deliver the purloined letters, but there's a problem -- his car won't start. Martyn finds Theresa (Tanya Allen), a beautiful female auto mechanic, and persuades her to fix his vehicle. She agrees, but Martyn soon realizes that her boyfriend is the man he's just murdered. Theresa soon catches on that Martyn has stolen the book, and displays a greater interest in his ill-gotten literature than her boyfriend's death or repairing the car.
Packing for Mars
Inspired by a 1970's science fiction novel entitled ALTERNATIVE 3, one man, armed with nothing but a camera and an open mind, sets forth on a journey to reveal the truth behind what may well be one of the most startling secrets: An elite group is said to be secretly building an exclusive off-world survival colony on planet Mars. Credible individuals have begun to emerge claiming to have been actual Mars recruits including the great granddaughter of a historically significant American president.
Angel's Drop
Botan Ichige has just enrolled in St. Asmaria All-Girl's School where angels are said to live. It turns out that angels do indeed live there, and after an accident, an angel named Un offers Botan her halo as a snack. After eating it, Botan discovers it had some bizarre side-effects, causing her to regularly "give birth" to colorful mushrooms. Is this the life of an angel!?
For the Sake of Haniyeh
Captain Olov is going to sea for fishing with 14 other men but only he returns home. People are blaming him for the accident and attack his family. In between his little girl Hanieh is become parallel. Captain takes his family and leaves his city Tangak for Bushehr. He takes an oath on himself to beat drum one night till morning just for the healing of his daughter Hanieh but before that he dies. Now his son is after fulfilling his father's oath but for that he has to return for their city where people are still hostile with them.
