The Mad Bomber

Pourvoir Patrice Enard’s ‘Pourvoir’ is a film mainly comprised of images of women in nature, his style is stark and repetitive, shots are angular, which both hide and reveal. There is though a visual poetry to his work - once the smoke dissipates, a sexual liberation emerges, with subtle flourishes in the staging and editing threaded together by Marxist and Freudian discourses.

Shaolin vs. Lama A kung fu fanatic, Yu Ting (Alexander Lo Rei), searching for the ultimate master, saves a young Shaolin monk, Hsu Shi (William Yen), from a group of mobsters and sees it as a golden opportunity to enrich his kung fu skills. He persuades the young novice monk to smuggle him into Shaolin, but Ting's presence isn't welcome and he is driven out, but remains close to the temple, keeping in touch with Hsu Shi. When Ting rescues a girl from the clutches of the Flying Eagle gang, the Golden Wheel Lama and sworn enemy of Shaolin finds the perfect excuse to lead an assault on the Temple. Realizing Ting's devotion, the abbot decides to bring Ting into the Shaolin order and teach him the deadliest techniques to prepare him for the Lama's merciless fury.

The Mad Prince: Fassbind... This film was shot in 1988. The main action takes place in a rock group's studio during the visit of a few acolytes from Theatre Theatre. It is all served up in connection with Fassbinder «s notion of Antitheatre. The theme of the “mad prince” in actors» improvisations intertwines with the fate of the director and of directing in general. The adventures of the spirit form the true tale of this film. We use only the single interior, the studio room where nothing happens aside from the pulsations of spirit. It comes to life here, and it rests, as if gaining new strength. The Mad Prince Fassbinder is, indeed, spirit. Only a free camera is capable of capturing this freedom.

Trenchcoat An aspiring mystery writer becomes accidently embroiled in an international plot during a two-week stay in Malta.

The Cat Started It All The film is based on Yuri Tomin’s story “Everything’s the Other Way Around Today” and tells the tale of children who decide to stage a “Disobedience Day.” Galka, Yurka, and Slavik make a pact to listen to no one and do only what they want. Their bewildered parents and teacher are slow to understand what’s come over the kids, but eventually manage to persuade them to abandon their impulsive idea.
